We are starting to search for jobs again (not Junia), and we have no idea what God has in store for us next. God's always been faithful to us in the past, so we are expecting good things! (This is always my attitude starting major life transitions, but in a few months when we still don't know, I'll be having some very serious talks with the big G about how God's timing doesn't always have to be so last-minute. I mean, if you knew the future, wouldn't you plan ahead a bit? It seems a little irresponsible to me. I'm just saying.)
Other than the fact that she is running a 103 degree temperature and has a hacking cough, Junia is fantastic. Our doctor seems rather cavalier about the whole thing ("bring her in if she has the fever for 5 days") but she went to med school, so I guess I'll just have to have faith in this area of my life too. Actually, June Bug is in remarkably good spirits, playing with the Valentine's day balloon and saying "Ha-ppy" over and over. She has moved on from "ball" and her favorite words are now, baby, happy, and sh (for shoe). We were in Culebra, an island off Puerto Rico, with Junia's cousin Noel 2 weeks ago and she spent the whole time accosting Noel with kisses and repeating "baby!" with glee. Now she kisses every baby at daycare and even her own mirror image elicits an excited "baby!" and a kiss. Unfortunately all the other tykes at daycare will soon have fevers and hacking coughs too.
So, our family could use your prayers for our future and health. Also, Kirk's G-dad, his wife, and Kirk's uncle have all recently been in and out of the hospital for some very serious reasons. Please keep them and the rest of Kirk's family in your prayers as they try to get healthy and as they rely on family and friends for help.
Happy Post-Valentine's Day!

Good first post! Hope Junia feels better soon!
that last pic is too precious! You will treasure it years from now, with all those chubby baby faces! There's one of me at about 1 year old with my Thweatt cousins just like that, all of us piled on the couch, and it's one of my favorites.
glad you're blogging! and facebooking!
So glad to see you are blogging! I made mine a '08 resolution. It will be fun keeping up with you and your family. Junia is ADORABLE!
Junia,
it's great to hear from your proud parents and righteously so. Now tell your parents that we too are proud of you, and very happy to learn that you will soon have another little miracle walking besides you and giving mummy and daddy even more smiles and unforgetable moments - though mummy might stop counting first words ... at least that's what happened in our case.
Hugs to all of you from Myra, Julia, Till, Ulrike & Lars Dedekind who have finally returned to Germany although we still (and probably always will) cherish our Kodi times.
Hugs & Blessings,
from the Dedekinds
