He got the job!!!!!
Kirk was offered a position at Presbyterian College in South Carolina today, and we couldn't be happier. We really felt that Kirk had a calling to work there, but the process has taken so long that we were beginning to doubt that feeling. (God's timing and all. . .) It is a hard time to be job searching, as many people in the country know. There were more than 140 applicants for this particular position, so while we are thanking God for our good fortune, we are praying that those others who applied have other doors open for them.
Presbyterian College is a wonderful school with great students in Clinton, South Carolina. Kirk will be a professor in the religion department there. He will formally accept the position in the next few days, but we are already getting excited about planning our next steps for this transition.
